the leadership of two kings

THE LEADERSHIP OF TWO KINGS
A leader is someone with a vision and is committed to completing that vision and in that process has the skills to cultivate. Being a leader means others look up to you and how you portray yourself. The respect you earn is the same respect a leader should be given. Each leader should be able to lead others into the right direction. Although Beowulf and Macbeth were two different types of kings they both fought for the same future of Becoming a leader; a king.
Although Macbeth and Beowulf eventually ruled king, to get there they both had obstacles that they had to overcome in order to continue on with their vision. Macbeth sought the prophecies that held his crown; and in order for him to grasp that title he had to become inferior and cold hearted, murdering anyone who came between him and his crown. On the other hand Beowulf didn’t strive to be king but to live on in the minds of others after he had died .But he didn’t hesitate to take upon the job when it was mentioned. Both leaders became deceitful as they gained more and more power.
Becoming a leader means you have peers, an audience looking up to you and giving you your title. Macbeth’s people didn’t look at Macbeth as a leader but more of an arrogant man trying to take over. Instead of feeling safe they feared him.  They began to catch on to his mass murders and killings. They felt as if he didn’t earn the right to have the authority because after the killing of King Duncan and Banquo, he came more and more corrupted the more he saw himself looking down on others. They viewed him as a weak man committing sins; he showed no characteristics of a king but more of a dictator.
Beowulf’s people viewed him as a savior, he came into demark being fearless and the geats saw how he carried himself. He had all the characteristics of a good leader and king. He respected his people and they respected him because he would risk his life to save theirs. When he sought out something he didn’t give up he went through with his plans, not giving up.  They felt safe in his presence as he protected his people from any danger. He was the perfect example of a heroic king; he was a strong, intelligent man who had perseverance even towards the end of his life he didn’t let age stop him from defeating the dragon. Even after his death his people never turned their backs on him; he lived on in many lives’s as a great leader, hero, and king.

Even though Macbeth and Beowulf were leaders in their time and ruled differently, the both of them had flaws to their crown.  They manipulated there kingdoms with lies, becoming more and more dishonest. Every leader isn’t perfect but to be honest is the most honorable quality that people look at because if they can’t believe in you and in your words, they won’t believe in your vision.

Dress Code

I said Yes to the dress code, because i think it saves money that i don't have to spend trying to buy other clothes. It helps makes it easier to get up in the morning because i already know what i have to put on when i wake up. The money i would have been spending on trying to keep up with the high school  "look" , i can put to the side to save for better things ill need in the future. But i also said no a little bit because it gets boring having on the same thing daily and seeing everybody with the same thing on. i am glad we have a dress down day but i would like it more if it was on a friday or towards the end of the week because no one really wants to dress up on a monday. but other than that it seems to be working out just fine .

The Shooting Of an Elephant

Startling news in the lower area of Yangon, a man has been trampled to death by a trained elephant. It all began at 11:00am  Thursday morning while everyone was in the bazaar. Murali Iran woke up to find that Miri was gone. Once he had discovered his elephant was missing he went to go look for it but ended up going in the opposite direction. Around 1:00pm witnesses stated seeing the elephant spotted  coming towards the bazaar. Witnesses say as the elephant stamped through the crowd she began to get more and more agitated rushing through the crowd of screaming people.    “Everything went crazy, the elephant looked me dead in my eyes I thought I was about to die, but then everyone started to run towards the fruit hunt , When we ran over we saw him just laying there, dead” said a bystander. At 1:25pm Thursday Curie Malone was pronounced dead at the scene. Reporters say the crowd demanded a constable to come shoot down the elephant. Constable Orwell arrived on the scene at 2:00pm with a rifle in his hand. The crowd fled around the constable screaming and jostling. Reporting's said that constable Orwell walked towards the elephant in a field of wild grass and proceeded to shoot . At 3:00 the elephant was confirmed dead at the scene as well. Two Shocking killings has happened in the city of Yangon this evening.

The Devil and Tom Walker

In the Story of The Devil and Tom Walker I Inferred that Tom Walkers wife was a miserable mean women who was stingy and sneaky women the author directly stated that "Whatever the woman could lay hands on she hid away a hen could not cackle but she was on the alert to secure the new- laid egg". I can Infer that the author directly stated Toms wife was a loud and obnoxious women with a tall but built shape and didn't hold her tongue for no one , not even Tom because in the story he said " Toms wife was a tall termagant, fierce of temper, loud of tongue, and strong of arm. The author Indirectly stated that Tom walker was a meager miserly fellow I inferred that tom was a tall and skinny English man, Tom walker was a fearless man by inferences "but tom was a hard-minded fellow, not easily daunted, and he lived so long with a termagant wife, that he did not even fear the devil." I can infer that Tom Walker and his wife was a very stubborn couple, both of them were miserable and greedy the author indirectly said " He had a wife as miserly as himself; they were so miserly that they even conspired to cheat each other". Living off of greed lead them to a man by the name of Old scratch who persuaded the walkers into selling their soul for money. I inferred that the great black woodsman was the devil because the author stated "I am known by the name of the black woodsman. I am he whom the red men devoted this spot, and now and roasted a white man by way of sweet smelling sacrifice."

This Story brought many morals, Karma was the first one to come to mind because if Tom walkers wife never would have tried to go behind his back and meet the devil on her own , cause Tom wouldn't sell his soul , she never would have gotten killed. But karma goes to Tom also because after she died he still mad a deal with the devil and it ended up giving him a great life but a horrific afterlife. Another theme to this story could be loyalty ,which neither character had because if they would have been loyal to each other neither would be dead. Selfishness goes along with this story , being selfish and greedy will only get you so far in life until it blows up into your face and you'll be sitting there alone or dead which still ends up being alone. But the lesson of this book would be to never make a deal with the devil because its never fair.

The Little Engine That Could

The name of my Story is The Little Engine That Could. I chose this story to express the moral that the author placed in the book. The lesson of the book was to never give up on any idea you have even if theirs obstacles in the way. Strive for the best even if you don't think you'll make it to the end of the road. Towards the end of the story the Little Engine all the other big trains built up fear in the little engine. So when he started to go up the spooky mountain  , he began to punk out but he pushed his self to keep going saying to his self " I think i can, I think i can " until he got through it and realized it was just as sunny on the other side. Meaning you can do anything you put your mind too and don't let anyone take that away from you .

I Am I Can, I Will

I am the beauty within
within beauty there is me
i am who i am
success is in me
i am

I can strive to succeed
But without hope there is no dream
I can dream but to dream i must imagine
imagine a life full of success
I can

I will Be me
I will never give up
I will take the good in the bad
my life is a journey

And I Will, I can, I am
